Case Study

HP3M Project Management InRUE Integrated Research on the Urban Environment In August 2019 on behalf of the University of Sierra Leone, HP3M successfully led a team of industry partners and academic institutions in their bid for a grant under the Higher Education Partnership through the Royal Academy of Engineering to increase engineering capacity in Sub-Saharan Africa by improving the knowledge skills and employability of African engineering graduates and in building the research capacity of local higher education institutions. The partner team included Imperial College London, major universities in the West African region (Cote D’Ivoire and Sierra Leone) and the main utility providers in Sierra Leone. H3PM provided its services as an ‘programme Integrator’ in defining the requirements of the RAE client and in creating a team that could match the client’s objectives whilst maintaining a overview on the different dimensions of the client’s requirements ensuring the creation of environment to increase the chances of successful delivery. The project “Integrated Research into the Utilities and the Urban Environment” (InRUE), is a partnership between three international universities, a local university, six industry partners and HP3M is retained to provide project management and integration of services.

“Without the expertise and sustained intervention of Hastings P3M Consulting, it would have been difficult to develop a concept and to obtain buy-in from the partnership team. Their involvement allowed the academic team and other industry partners to concentrate on their core business and for them to focus their contribution on the project in the most relevant areas.”
